fatto sabato e ora da 100gb ho un hdd da 250 gb...

pero' appena acceso schermo nero e cursore in alto a sx lampeggiante !

opanico, meno male che avevo letto di andare in consolle di xp
e digitare mbrfix, provo e magia ...funziona !

ora come mai ?

ma se ho fatto una copia 1:1 clonazione non ha copiato anche il mbr ???

ho scritto e la casa madre di hdclone mi dice che la causa e':

layout diverso CHS


cosa significa ? grazieeeeeeeeeeeee

mi dico:

"CHS is an ancient method to access hard drives. However, it is still used in the XP boot loader.
If the CHS layout does not match, the computer loads a wrong sector and fails to start
Windows XP. You On many computers, you can set the CHS layouts in the system's BIOS.
To change it, please note down the CHS layout set (automatically) in BIOS for the source disk.
Then connect the clone (disconnect the source) and check its CHS setting. If the values for H (
heads) and S (sectors) do not match the ones of the source, set it to another layout, matching H
and S of the source. Set C (cylinders) to a value below 1023. The CHS layout is only relevant
for booting, since the operating system will use its own drivers, not BIOS to access the hard disk
once it is loaded.

If you used drive to drive as the copy mode, it is irrelevant if the target drive was formatted/partitioned
since all the data including the partitioning scheme will be overwritten on the target."

Il problema del layout CHS non si verifica con tutti i computer e con tutti i sistemi operativi ecco perchè non era presente nella guida.
